Attendance:
Weekly attendance is necessary for the maintenance and advancement of your skills.  Please attempt to keep all your scheduled lessons and avoid missing any of them.  However, if you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, contact the school and your teacher at least 24 hours in advance.  We will be happy to schedule a make up lesson for you, but if your notice is less than 24 hours in advance, your teacher is not obligated to provide the make up.  Teachers reserves the right to refuse make up lessons for the students.  No email cancellations will be accepted.

IF YOU ARE LATE FOR YOUR CLASS, YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN EXTRA TIME.  IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES LATE, YOU FORFEIT YOUR CLASS TIME – IF YOU HAVE NOT CALLED 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE NO MAKEUP WILL BE GIVEN.

Please note:  There are no refunds or credits for missed lessons or lessons without adequate cancellation notice.

Payments:
Regular time slots may be reserved on a monthly basis by paying the monthly tuition fee.  The fee covers the entire month and is due on the last lesson of the previous month.  Payments made on time secure your time slot for the following month.  Failure to pay on time can cause you to forfeit your reserved time slot.

Payments can be made at the school with check or cash.

There will be a late fee of $15.00 if your payment is not received by the 1st week of the current month.  Checks returned for insufficient funds will have a $35.00 penalty in addition to the tuition, and payment must be made in cash or money order.

Tardiness (late attendance):
Due to our strict schedule, we will not be able to provide additional time and extend your lesson if you are late.  Tardiness results in lost lesson time; teachers are not expected to make up lost time.  We recommend you arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to ensure timely lessons.

Release of Liability:
Playing a musical instrument, like any sport or activity that requires the use of your muscles may from time to time contribute to, or cause pain to the musician. It is expected that all students will take responsibility for monitoring and treatment of any pain that they feel may be associated with, or aggravated by playing a musical instrument with the Alpharetta Learning Center.  We ask that all students of The Alpharetta Learning Center sign the waiver of liability below in regards to both the study of the instrument and the use of the buildings that classes are taking place in.  Signing below also means that you have read, understand, and agree to the Alpharetta Learning Center policies for private lessons or to the terms associated with a particular class or camp that is checked above (see related letters or descriptions provided separately).  By agreeing to this document you understand that the teachers at the Alpharetta Learning Center cannot assume responsibility for any injuries to students, parents, children, or possessions that may occur during or after my use of the building or study of an instrument.  You agree to take full responsibility for you and your children’s safety, and hold the residents, owners, and staff of the Alpharetta Learning Center harmless from any and all liability claims arising from study at the Alpharetta Learning Center.

Makeup Classes:

We always try to accommodate schedules; however due to our tight schedule we can only offer one makeup class per month.  For example, if you missed two classes this month, we will only provide one makeup.  If you miss one class, you receive one makeup.  Makeup class days will vary depending on the teacher – please discuss your needs with your teacher to find a time that works for you on their designated makeup day.

Miscellaneous Policies:
The International Music School LLC is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur on our facilities to students or children attending or not currently attending a class.  Children should not be left unattended.  Parents are encouraged to attend all lessons with the students.
